"We have been informing the National European Neonatology Societies, regarding these new positions for Neonatologists in England and I was hoping that you might be interested or inform your colleagues via email and also your Junior Specialists (just finishing their MIR Training).
We have an excellent opportunity for 4 Registrars in Neonates at a well-known, NHS (State) University Hospital in London.
The unit provides an excellent learning opportunity to develop advanced level of competence in clinical and technical skills.
Experience will be gained in advanced ventilatory support (HFOV, Conventional Ventilation, COMV, NCPAP, SiPAP ventilation, and in the use of inhaled nitric oxide) and nutritional support. Training opportunities are available in becoming competent in neonatal cranial ultrasonography and echocardiography
The doctor will have the opportunity to attend monthly multi-professional joint meeting between fetal medicine specialists, neonatologists, obstetricians and pediatric surgeons. This will allow for specialist experience in these areas and in counseling skills.
12 months experience in a Level III NICU and management of newborns from 24 weeks old is necessary
The salary for these posts is £45000 - £55000 per year and the hours are 40 hours per week. On-Calls are paid extra
The initial contract is for 1 year and can be renewed is both parties agree
