Recebemos dos responsáveis por este estudo a seguinte mensagem, que aqui se divulga:

"Dear Portuguese colleague,

we are contacting you as part of a European research network that is running a project called TINN2 “Treat Infections in Neonates 2” on the use of azithromycin in preterm neonates. The project is co-coordinated by the French Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM,France) and Cardiff University (United Kingdom).

TINN2, supported by the European Commission under the Health Cooperation Work Programme of the 7th Framework Programme (grant number 260908), is complementary to the first TINN project, which began in 2008 and in which some of you participated.

As recommended by the EMA (European Medicines Agency), a survey of European NICUs on the use of azithromycin in preterm neonates is being run and we are contacting NICUs in all the European countries in order to be as representative as possible of the European situation. This is the first step in the assessment of the routine use of this drug in the prevention of bronchopulmonary dysplasia in neonates.
The survey, coordinated by the Mario Negri Institute, is online at this address: http://tinn2.marionegri.it
and takes about 10 minutes to complete. During input, if necessary, it is possible to temporarily interrupt the input session and to re-enter the system to continue the survey at another time.
The survey will be active until 5 May 2012, after which you will receive another email from us.
The answers will be treated anonymously and the results will be sent to you and to all participants of the survey.

Thank you very much in advance for your time and collaboration. We would like to remind you that the information we receive will permit us to better focus our research and adapt it to the current care and treatment of this vulnerable population. We are available for any clarification if necessary and will send you the results of the survey once they are finalized.

Sincerely,

Evelyne Jacqz-Aigrain and Sailesh Kotecha, coordinators of the TINN2 project

Chiara Pandolfini, Maurizio Bonati and Claudia Pansieri coordinating members of the TINN2 survey

TINN2 European Survey on Infections in Neonates Empty Re: TINN2 European Survey on Infections in Neonates

Recebemos este apelo à participação, que divulgamos

"Dear Colleagues,

we are contacting you once again concerning the TINN2 survey on the use of azithromycin in preterm neonates in European NICUs. Many NICUs have already participated, but we are hoping to obtain even more representative data on the use of this drug in Europe.

We hope you will be able to take a little bit of time to help us better focus our research, whether or not you wish to participate in a TINN2 clinical trial in the future.

We know you are busy and do not have much time to dedicate to the survey, but, if convenient, you can split your input into different slots of time. You simply need to click on TEMPORARY SAVE (which you will see at the end of each section) before leaving the system. You can then re-enter the system again by writing your surname and email.

To access the survey: http://tinn2.marionegri.it

Once completed the questionnaire please then click "FINAL SUBMISSION" at the end of the form, this is important so we know the data is finalised and we can proceed to analyse it.

We are available for any clarification if necessary and will send participants the results of the survey once they are processed.

Thank you for your interest and collaboration.

Sincerely,

Evelyne Jacqz-Aigrain and Sailesh Kotecha, coordinators of the TINN2 project
Chiara Pandolfini, Maurizio Bonati and Claudia Pansieri, coordinating members of the TINN2 survey
